About Us
Meet Captain Will
I have been a veteran small business owner in the outdoor industry for over 20 years. I love to hunt and fish and recently retired my successful taxidermy business in Boerne, TX to do more fishing. I served for 8 years in the USAF prior to that. I obtained my US Coast Guard Captain's license in 2018 and also have a TPWD fishing guide license.
I have been married to my wife Julie since 1994 and we have two adult sons, Dakota and Tyler. Julie and I moved to Rockport in 2017 a week before Hurricane Harvey, but have been coming down here to fish regularly for years. Dakota and Julie also served in the USAF, but now work in the private sector and Tyler is also a captain out of Aransas Pass.
My Boat & Gear
I have a 2023 25' Majek Illusion with a 250 HP Yamah SHO motor and this boat likes to get "skinny". It has dual power poles, a trolling motor, t-top, and front fishing deck with plenty of room to fish with four guests.
I fish with mostly live bait, cut bait, and some artificials, targeting reds, speckled trout, drum and flounder.
Where I Fish
I am a fishing guide in the Rockport area and I primarily fish Aransas, Copano, St. Charles, Carlos, Mesquite, Ayres, and San Antonio Bays.
I like to launch at St. Charles boat ramp, but may choose other options in and around Rockport due to weather or other factors.
